FoodLovers Britain believes that for quality food, every aspect of production – from farm to fork – needs to be in place. One important component is higher standards of farm animal welfare and this is where the RSPCA‘s Freedom Food comes into play.

Freedom Food Logo

The RSPCA’s farm assurance and food labelling scheme, Freedom Food, encourages farmers to adopt and maintain higher welfare standards and encourages consumers to reward them for their efforts by buying Freedom Food labelled products.

FoodLovers Approved Logo

FoodLovers Britain has teamed up with Freedom Food to offer fast track inspection and, provided they comply, approval for all FoodLovers Approved businesses and vice versa. Now consumers can find products from producers who are members of both FoodLovers Approved and Freedom Food  schemes  giving the assurance of quality, taste and higher welfare standards.

Supporting The National Trust Fine Farm Produce Awards

FoodLovers Britain believes that producers of quality food and drink who maintain high environmental and animal welfare standards should be recognised. Henrietta is on the panel of judges for The National Trust Fine Farm Produce Awards, ensuring that the entrants all meet the desired standards and their product is worthy of the award.

National Trust Logo

The Fine Farm Produce Awards are awarded for the best taste, quality and production from National Trust farms. They must meet the rigorous National Trust environmental standards in farming and, for livestock and dairy, be certified organic or Freedom Food (RSPCA) assured. Naturally the product must also meet the judges’ criteria for appearance, aroma and taste.

FoodLovers Approved Logo

As one of the judges for the Fine Farm Produce Awards, Henrietta has personally approved the winners to become FoodLovers Approved businesses. Consumers can now buy their award-winning products, assured of high quality, good taste and high environmental and animal welfare standards.
