CherryAid campaigns to unite all Cherry Lovers – chefs, Cherry growers, producers of Cherry-based food and drink, you, me – to save the British Cherry.

In the last 50 years we’ve lost 90% of our Cherry orchards and now import around 95% of the Cherries we eat. FoodLoversBritain.com has come to the rescue with CherryAid to help them out of a jam!

Throughout the cherry season, there'll be celebrations around the country and on
National Cherry Day, Saturday 18 July 2009, you can take part in CherryBake at Borough Market.

Cherry Corner at Borough Market

From 16 - 18 July, we're running a Cherry Corner at Borough Market. You can join in, enjoy British cherries,
visit us for cherry tastings, chance to buy fresh cherries, cherry-based products and masses of cherry treats.

On National Cherry Day Saturday 18 July we're organising a CherryBake. We want you to come along with your own-made cherry dish - anything, as long as you've made it yourself with British cherries - to be judged by Henrietta and celebrity chefs. CherryBake judges include Taste the Nation's Ed Baines, Oliver Rowe of Konstam, Sarah Randell, Food Director of Sainsbury's Magazine, Lucas Hollweg, Food Writer of Sunday Times Style, Diana Henry, Food Writer and Helen Lindsay-Clark, Cherry Fair Expert and Sheila Dillon, Presenter of Radio 4's Food Programme.

In order to take part, you must
register for CherryBake online.
