Winner Announced for Britain's Best Foodie StreetBritish Food Fortnight

It's British Food Fortnight from 18 September - 3 October 2010.
This annual national celebration's aim is to get everyone to love and buy British food for two weeks. And why not? Autumn's seasonal produce is at its finest, with fruit and vegetables, game, shellfish and meat at their peak.
It's a time to revel in all that Autumn offers, from heritage apples and orchard fruit to British farmhouse cheese, wild game birds and venison. To get the most out of the season, make sure you shop locally and seasonally.
Here at FoodLoversBritain.com we believe that British food is not just for a fortnight, but all year round.
We love, buy, eat and cook it every day of the year at local farmers markets, local shops, off- or online whatever the season. Think of the dark days of February when a slow-cooked beef stew made with a cheaper cut is just the ticket, or the first days of summer that bring British asparagus, strawberries and cherries. And of course there's always Christmas, with wonderful local and regional food delicacies.
