British asparagus is a real spring treat and where better to celebrate it than at the Festival in the Vale of Evesham. As well as details of what's going on and where, we've got asparagus growers, recipes and other events around the country.
WHAT'S ON IN AND AROUND EVESHAM
23 April The Great English Asparagus Run starts at the Bell Tower in Evesham
24 May Bretforton Silver Band and Asparagus Auction takes place from 7pm at The Fleece Inn, Bretforton
25 May Asparagus Festival Day at The Fleece Inn - there'll be an asparagus farmers market, cooking demonstrations, tastings and asparagus menus around the Vale.
20-21 June The Vale Morris, Ale & Cider Weekend
And look out for the 'Asparabus' Tours on 13, 20, 27 May and 3 June.
