Cookery Course
Bettys Cookery School in Harrogate is unique in drawing from the rich resource of talent and experience at Bettys Craft Bakery to provide the tutors for an exciting range of courses.
Ever since Bettys Café Tea Rooms opened in 1919, the family business has been building up a remarkable team of specialist craftsmen and women including master bakers, chocolatiers, confectioners, chefs and tea and coffee blenders - some of whom have over 30 years experience.
Teaching takes place in a purpose-built School, with plenty of free parking, a few steps away from the Craft Bakery. The kitchen can accommodate up to 18 delegates for practical courses and is spacious and well-equipped, with a large demonstration area and plasma screen. Practical courses offered include Breadmaking, Desserts, Italian and French cuisine, Healthy Eating, Entertaining and Chocolate making.
This summer why not try something different and come and join us? There are a handful of places still available on the following courses in August:
Green Cuisine, Saturday August 2nd; Delicious Desserts, Sunday 3rd; Swiss Specialities, Thursday 7th; Italian Kitchen Sunday 10th ; Teen Cuisine Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th ; Pasta & Sauce Course Wednesday 20th ; and Best of Bettys Thursday 28th. These courses cost £155 per person except for the two day Teen Cuisine course which is £270. Alternatively give us a call or visit our website for further course details.
All courses include a delicious meal with wine, Bettys Cookery School apron, a folder containing recipes, all ingredients are provided and weighed out in advance and all packaging for dishes to be taken home.
A selection of mouth-watering three-hour demonstration classes are held during the day or evening throughout the year and these include a taste of each dish demonstrated, a two course lunch or supper with glass of wine and a folder of recipes to take away.
We also offer a fantastic selection of fun and informative cookery days for children and young people during school holidays.
