Cothi Valley Goats is set in 50 acres of rolling green hills, and is home to 240 dairy goats and youngsters.  During the spring and summer all the milkers are grazed out during daylight hours, as our  goats prefer the sight of nice warm straw barns at night. Haylage is offered ad lib all year round and cereals are fed twice a day during milking.

We produce a wide range of hand made artisan cheeses including very fresh 2 day old cheeses, soft fresh spreadable cheeses, Feta style cheese, white mould ripened and blue cheeses, hard and semi soft, ash coated and the latest addition, the rind washed cheese everybody has been waiting for! We also make the only welsh haloumi cheese, hand made to a secret Cypriot recipe taught to us by a Cypriot lady. Goats milk produce is suitable for those people on a dairy free diet and may be suitable for those lactose intolerant.

We also produce prime reared kid meat in a wide range of cuts and sizes, it is available most of the year round. Also produced is a range of fresh meat sausages and our very own Caprami, a cured sausage similar to salami. Goat meat is very low in cholesterol and saturated fats and is therefore a very healthy meat.

We produce a variety of ready meals:
Both meat dishes and vegetarian all made from the produce of the goat, ranging from kid meat pies, quiches, sweet pies, lemon tart desserts, crème caramels and yoghurts. Not all these are available but will be sold at the large range of farmers markets, food festivals and events we attend each year. Mail order is available.

The Team:
Richard and Lynn have over 50 years livestock experience between them, and Lynn has 20+ years of cheese making with Richard a mere 10 years! Their passion and enthusiasm for goats and goat milk products has pushed the business forward. They both have food hygiene training and Lynn also brings with her a number of years working for environmental health authorities.

Laura, Lynn and Richards daughter has been goat farming since able to walk, she has a good stockman's eye and manages goats on a daily basis. She also spent two years at Gelli Aur College.

David, our son has been working on the farm since Gelli Aur and helps out where needed including cheese making and selling at the Markets.
