Farm Shop

As National Trust tenant farmers, Richard and Clare Aldis run an open parkland farm on Hardwick Hall Estate, one of Britain’s great Elizabethan houses. Here they rear traditional and rare breeds, including Longhorn and pure Hereford cattle, Whitefaced Woodland sheep and Tamworth, Lop Ear, Gloucester Old Spot and Middle Whites pigs.

All the beef, lamb and pork is born and bred on-farm and sold from the recently opened farm shop with beef hung for 21 days to mature .

The 22nd-28th September is RSPCA Freedom Food Farm Animal Week. Click here for more details and to find out how you can get involved!

Henrieta says

Lamb is remarkable for its sweetness of flavour, a good grassy finish.
