The Moot Hall and 14th century Manor Office add to the considerable charm of Hexham’s market square where the farmers’ market is held. Organic hill reared lamb from Northumbrian Quality Meat is a “must buy” and look out for homemade bread from Jo Burrill, smoked foods from Bywell Fish and Game - especially their smoked fish from the Tyne. Other stalls have excellent venison, organic vegetables, honey and homemade cakes.
