Macknade Fine Foods is a leading light in the UK’s blossoming independent fine food sector, servicing local customers and visitors from far and wide.
Macknade Fine Foods started life, 30 years ago, as 'Fir Tree Farm', a tent in 20 hectares of 'Pick Your Own' crops! Unique in so many ways - strong Kentish heritage blending with rich Italian traditions - the business flourished with people experiencing then exotic flora such as mange tout, courgette flowers and yellow & purple raspberries for the very first time.
Over quarter of a century on, Macknade Fine Foods has kept true to its cosmopolitan conception, growing and blossoming as a centre for not only the highest quality fresh produce, but for global fine foods as a whole.
Macknade's evolution has seen it grow from a traditional family farm in the heart of the Garden of England, to a buzzing marketplace full of daily favourites, old friends who've eluded you for years, and a breath-taking range of foods and drinks with names as intriguing as their appearances.
Wherever possible local producers are used – from fresh fruit & vegetables to meats and cheeses to beers, wines, jams, ice creams and much much more; you'll find the very best Kent, and Britain as a whole, have to offer.
We cater for every taste and for every occasion, from the conservative to the extravagantly exotic. Wherever your culinary adventure may take you be it Italy or Japan, Mexico or Morocco, we'll have what you want ... and if not, we will endeavour to find it!
Macknade has evolved into more than just a traditional 'farm shop' - you can still buy your sack of spuds and a bunch of carrots, but alongside you will find all manner or surprises - foods of which you may never have heard, and others for which you've been hunting for years!
