The Ludlow Jam Pan was set up by Sara- Jane in October 2008 and evolved from a passion to master the art of preserving.

Sara- Jane's ethos is to re-introduce long forgotten recipies using heritage orchard fruit and the bounty from the hedgerows and her kitchen garden.

It was Sara- Janes love of foraging hedgerow fruit that led to the Ludlow Jam Pan appearing on the Hairy Bikers food Tour of Britain when they visited Shropshire. The Hairy Bikers went gathering Wild Rosehips.. "Sara- Janes a lovely lady and we met her in a bush! Sara- Jane makes the best preserves from fruits such as crabapples and wild Blackberries and sells them as Farmers Markets. Her hedgerow Jelly was just what we needed to go with our stuffed Pheasant dish we cooked at La Becasse in Ludlow" (Si King & Dave Myers: The Hairy Bikers food Tour of Britain Cook book, 2009)

Sara- Jane believes that all food should be seasonal, natural and taste good, therefore all products are free from artifical colours, preservatives, added pectin and thickners.

This March The Ludlow Jam Pan will be selling a Classic Fresh Lemon Curd in Selfridges as part of the food lovers approved collaboration.

The Lemon curd is made from Sara- Janes happy free range rare breed Orpington & Speckled Sussex Hens eggs, real local farmhouse butter, fresh lemon juice and zest and just a little sugar. 

A real homemade creamy, zingy wonderfully rich Lemon Curd.

There is also a range of other products for you to try, for something a little different try in store a seasonal Seville Orange Curd or a warming Ginger Curd, a delicate pink Forced Rhubarb and Seville Orange Jam or a quirky Parsnip, Lemon & Caraway preserve.

Sara- Jane will be in store for the weekends of March 6th and 27th for you to have a taste and answer any questions.
